Insurance is provided by ecosure Ltd at competitive rates.

*All insurance inclusive of the consumer 10 years FREE (insurance backed) defective workmanship insurance is subject to our insurance company's acceptance and may change depending on installer’s credit rating and risk assessment.

Cover Available:

Home PV Warranty Insurance 

This policy is designed to provide the customer with peace of mind when investing in solar panels.

10 years FREE (insurance backed) defective workmanship insurance.

(Domestic installation under £20,000 only). Cover protects the consumer should the system fail as a result of defective workmanship by the installer and they have ceased to trade. This FREE cover is available to all domestic installations that have had their job posted via our programme and have been carried out by one of our approved installers. For domestic customers to claim their FREE workmanship insurance they must have posted their job, registered the installation and rated their installer upon completion of the job with Rated Solar Installer.  

Defective (insurance backed) Workmanship Cover 

Up to 10 years cover available. Cover protects the consumer should the system fail as a result of defective workmanship by the installer and they have ceased to trade

Commercial Warranty Insurance

Commercial Warranty Insurance is underwritten on an individual basis. This policy is designed to provide the consumer with peace of mind when investing in commercial renewable energy system.

Commercial Defective Workmanship Cover

Cover for up to £500,000 for 2, 5 or 10 years to protect the consumer should the system fail as a result of defective workmanship by the installer and they have ceased to trade.

How To Arrange Cover

Cover through our programme is arranged by Rated Solar Installer and can only be issued if the installer is approved by ecosure.

*Installers approved by Rated Solar Installer will automatically be put through the application process with ecosure.

External Installers will need to contact ecosure directly and complete and application.

The Insurance policy is underwritten by Elite Insurance Ltd. Both COBRA Insurance Brokers Ltd and Elite are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

It is important for the end consumer to know that under Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Regulations, the installer and Rated Solar Installer is not selling the Home PV Warranty or Commercial PV Warranty Insurance policy.
